I haven’t really spoken to anyone recently about an event that’s been taking a really big toll on me. I found out a few days ago that someone I was extremely close to and felt a type of mother-daughter connection with, had passed away from cancer. I deal with it well when people are around but not so much when i’m alone. I was meditating in the shower and thinking to myself about how I didn’t want to let this affect me the way I have let death affect me in the past. Instead I wanted to finally really try to live my life and if I couldn’t do it for me, I’d do it for the ones who didn’t get the pleasure of staying longer than they should’ve. I figured i’d start out with something important and often overlooked — a sleeping schedule.
The next day, this female cardinal comes pecking at my window right as my newly set alarm goes off, and wouldn’t stop for a good 5 minutes. She didn’t only come yesterday. She visited me again today, same exact time. I saw it as a sign that my someone was with me. I tried looking up the meaning of a female cardinal and there wasn’t really much about them, but rather the males. But essentially a cardinal in general has the meaning of self-assurance. To take pride in yourself, you can do what you’re trying to, and, keep an open mind.
Today, I also found and was really drawn to a black feather. Some people see black feathers as a bad omen, but just as many other things, it could be good as well. Many people also believe that finding a black feather is a symbol that angels are protecting you, someone who’s passed is by you, and that you are never alone. They can also mean that you’re going through a spiritual awakening that’s right for you and that you will find new meaning in life. I’ve found a lot of comfort in that, even though this recent event has still left me extremely anxious and feeling debilitated every now and again.
I just thought these were really cool and wanted to share. It makes you think. Sometimes even something small like finding a feather, can mean more than you’d ever know.
“What’s this?” said Aziraphale, holding up a brown oblong.
Crowley squinted at it. “A book?” he said. “Not mine.”
Aziraphale turned a few of the yellowed pages. Tiny bibliophilic bells rang in the back of his mind.
“It must have belonged to that young lady,” he said slowly. “We ought to have got her address.”
“Look, I’m in enough trouble as it is, I don’t want it to get about that I go around returning people’s property to them,” said Crowley.

Probably should have realised A/C were going to have loads more angst to last six whole TV episodes but I genuinely hoped we’d just get like 6 hours of gentle teasing, duck feeding and restaurants with like some fire and ansaphones thrown in there

did Aziraphale have his bookshop in Soho because it’s a historically queer area, or is it a historically queer area because Aziraphale is there?

It’s ridiculous but I can’t stop thinking about what could have caused Aziraphale to swear in about 2000 BC. In Britain it was the Bronze Age; maybe he was helping put up a stone circle and someone dropped a megalith on his foot?
Then again, in 2000 BC the Babylonians were just inventing mathematics, and if you ask me that’s enough to make anyone swear.
