(leans in close so that my lips are touching the mic) crowley watches that first film, The Arrival of a Train at La Ciotat Station and delights in the gasps from the audience who believe an actual train is headed towards them. he brings aziraphale to the showing and relishes even more in the angel’s reaction. especially since he’d spent the trip lying, telling aziraphale that it was a very interesting use of a camera obscura. really marvelous, he tells him. doesn’t mention the train at all. or the fact that it’s only a projection.

and crowley expected the uppity lecture for such a “dirty trick” but he absolutely had not expected the angel to move to clutch his hand so tightly when the train appeared to be coming right for them. and there’s only two reasons for the move, either he saw crowley as “safety” or he wanted to “protect him,” silly as that sounds to the demon.

but either possibility makes him feel a little light in the head.

As a depressed bitch, I’m required by law to relisten to the Good Omens audiobook at least six times a day, and I’ve just reached the part where Shadwell wakes up and encounters Aziraphale possessing Madame Tracy. Aziraphale says that whole teasing statement about Shadwell expecting Madame Tracy’s head to spin around and for her to start vomiting pea soup. Obviously he’s referring to The Exorcist. We already have implications that Crowley and Aziraphale are forming their whole plan based around The Omen. So, I must ask:

How many classic horror movies have this angel and demon seen together? Did they just happen to catch the occasional flick at the theater over the decades? Did they marathon a bunch at once? Do they have preferences for one over the other? Furthermore, if Aziraphale is able to make a reference to the film so easily, does that mean he enjoys horror movies enough to call upon them in conversation?

I’m trying to do color matching for Aziraphale’s waistcoat and I am mildly geeking out over this very very high quality image bc 1) those buttons are charming 2) his frock coat is in fact linen not wool and 3) LOOK AT THE WEAR AND TEAR AROUND THE BUTTONS!! All the pile is worn smooth from use!! There are loose threads!! The button holes are done by hand and worn out!!

I’m almost certain it’s actual literal old not just pretend old and I am enamored and in love and jealous of it.
