well, i did say i’d do the elvish version, right? of course, the ceremony in mirkwood is much simpler than the one in erebor, because tauriel isn’t royalty like kili. since in my head dwarvish weddings are somewhat parallel to jewish weddings, elvish weddings are basically handfasts, and their crowns are made up of flowers that all represent some variation on eternal/immortal love, devotion, and affection.
