Got a good feeling about this

For most of my life I’ve been a fangirl of one thing or another and in many ways I still am. I love Sherlock, Star Trek, and obviously all things Tolkien and hobbit related right now. Still, I’ve been working on an original story which I hope to turn into a book in the future and it’s kind of refreshing to be obsessed with something that is entirely my own for once.

It feels odd and admittedly it’s a little lonely to realize I’m fangirling over characters that only I know and love but maybe in time, once this story hits the light of day, others will join in with my character love. For right now, my poor friends have to put up with listening to me talk about them and prattle on an on about the research that I’m doing. I’m building an entire world from scratch and I really want to make this place immersive. Each culture here is unique and I want to understand them fully so that my characters act accordingly and can seem real.

So yeah. I guess I’m just kind of excited about it and happy to see that for once in my life, I’m my own fan and that’s a pretty good feeling.
