The whole point of Save Rock and Roll is that Fall Out Boy are re-inventing themselves. They were never going to make a follow up to Folie à Deux because that’s not who they want to be. So don’t even go there.

on a serious note: I think it’s really amazing how a band could write music that so resonates with me and that means so much to me (primarily lyrically) and then go away for four years and come back to put out completely new and different music that STILL means something to me, and that I can relate to on this totally different level than other bands/musicians. Like that’s why Fall Out Boy is still my favorite band, that’s why that fact has never changed.
