Fun facts: Tolkien constructed this scene because he came out of Macbeth thinking that Shakespeare had missed a golden opportunity with the ”Be bloody, bold, and resolute; laugh to scorn the power of man, for none of woman born shall harm Macbeth” prophecy

Loki *THOR 2 SPOILERS*

So why does everyone like Loki exactly? I mean I quite liked him for a moment when it looked like he maybe might be good but then he turned around and wasn’t I mean I’m 80% fed up with him. You’d think after all this time he maybe might have learned something maybe. Evidently he did not. I did feel a bit sorry for him in the first one cause he found out a pretty nasty truth about his lineage in an unpleasant way and instead of being able to handle it like a human and have a mental break down he had one on a god style level.

But after that movie after movie with this one incessant need to rule it’s getting a little like he’s got a one note story. It would have been nice if they’d given him a more dynamic one. Or given him a greater purpose for why he wanted to rule so badly. The story in this one was quasi dynamic and cool, it would have been cooler if he’d been in it longer and this journey from cell to death which was funny and engaging and cool and actually made you care more about him had lasted longer, they had let him build to it. He’s a really good actor he could have made a great build of it. The stuff with his mum was great. His mum was great - what a badass.
