For starters, it’s not a library. 

It’s a bookstore. 

Specifically, it’s El Ateneo, a book shop in the heart of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Originally built as a theater in 1919 (Teatro Gran Splendid), it was renovated into a bookstore in 2000 where it serves as a flagship store of the Tematika bookstore chain of stores (which El Ateneo is a part of). All the fixtures from the theater, including the stage, curtains, and seats, are intact.

Probably the thing I’m most bitter about regarding the show’s cancellation is how we saw Simon’s character development JUST ROUNDING THE CORNER, I mean you KNEW it was going to be so good once he got drunk with Jayne once and accidentally propositioned Kaylee and one time shot a baddie in the leg and immediately apologized, or had to fly the plane once while River was giving him directions using her psychic google map, or got in a drag-out knock-down fight with JAYNE AGAIN DEAR DEAD GOD YOU GUYS i mean I COULD SEE THEIR RELATIONSHIP ABOUT TO CHANGE AND I’M SO FUCKING MAD THAT I WILL NEVER SEE THAT HAPPEN I JUST UGH

I like how with each level of shaved-ness I lose like 5 years

And finally, clean shaven and razor burned. 

It feels so strange but I gotta do it at least once a year just so I know what my face looks like (I’m a lot more gaunt than I was last year which is nice ‘cause I enjoy gaunt)
