Well, there we have it. Our new PM is Tony Abbott. Barring some sort of robo-dinosaur takeover by Clive Palmer, it’s going to be like that for the next three years.
Tempting as it may be to just chuck it all in because you and everyone you know is fucked out...
I’ve never been ‘scared’ as an Australian citizen. I’ve always had faith in my Government to do the best by its people. Today that faith has been shaken. Under Tony Abbotts government I can only imagine that we will go backwards as a nation. Backwards in foreign policy, backwards in education and health care, backwards in combatting climate change, backwards in workers rights.
It’s a sad, sad day for me. I almost can’t believe this is happening.
