So I’m losing my health insurance in less than two months, which is really uncool because I have type I diabetes and a mysterious, unknown autoimmune disease, both of which require daily medications. If I miss a single dose of insulin, I could literally die. The last time I didn’t have insurance, I ended up in the hospital for a week with diabetic ketoacidosis. Basically, my blood was turning acidic because I didn’t have insulin.
