I’m really surprised that the Star Trek fandom here doesn’t talk about these whacko episodes
For one thing, there was “Bread and Circuses”, the heavy-handed Jesus Christ metaphor which involved gladiators battling each other in a tv station
Or “A Piece of the Action”, which was a 1920s gangster AU
or “Omega Glory”, which rivals “Spock’s Brain” for how completely awful is was, which served as a heavy-handed metaphor for the Cold War and has this scene
Seriously I know you guys have been watching these how have you avoided these delightful messes
Star Trek paired with one of my favourite time periods. It just doesn’t get any better than this.
