I’m getting really fucking sick of Tumblr.

I can’t even believe someone would be so much of an ass to write up something like this. I’m stunned, really.

Or perhaps I’m not so stunned. Perhaps I’m used to the fans on this website making complete morons out of themselves when it comes to their beloved fandoms. Perhaps I see this all the time and this is just a case of it being taken too far. Perhaps this is the last straw.

Whatever the case is, I’m at my wit’s end here.

These TV shows are much more than your pointless pairings. All you fangirls seem to care about are “super kawaii homo pairs omg OTP!” Did you forget that there is an actual fucking show happening. There’s a plot and there are other characters.

It’s like you don’t even watch the show! You just stare at the screen, bored, until you see your “kawaii OTP 5ever” interact. Then you twist whatever you think happens in the show to fit your “OTP” and their “love story” until it isn’t even a show anymore! It’s just your fucking bullshit that doesn’t even make any sense.

People put work into these TV shows/movies/books/etc. People invest their time, money, effort, and talent into these things. You know that and you continue to just fuck up their work.

And the worst part is? You post it on Tumblr.

There’s a 95% chance that none of us want to see this bullshit. Most of the people on Tumblr shudder from second hand embarrassment when they see this. The really dedicated fans of the show who, unlike these fans, have a grip on reality wish you weren’t in the fandom. They wonder why you can’t just enjoy the shows without being so obnoxious.

BUT WHOA THERE HOLD ON A MINUTE DON’T GET ME WRONG HERE.

Being in a fandom is okay.

Shipping things is okay.

WANNA KNOW WHAT ISN’T????

Twisting and perverting a show to house your fantasies.

Fucking up a show until it’s hardly the same just to thrust your OTP into it.

Being a “fan” of the show for the “kawaii homos”.

Doing all of that and putting it on Tumblr.

Being in a fandom only for your OTP, posting ridiculous shit on Tumblr, and ruining fandoms is not okay.

I hate the fucking ‘omg gaaaaaay kawaii homos But you know what? FANDOMS ARE NOT JUST FOR FUCKING YOU.

You want to know why I ship gay pairings? BECAUSE I HAVE NO FUCKING REPRESENTATION. That’s a part of MYSELF that I put into my favorite show. Because I want to see representation.

And you want to know what else? You are not the ‘fandom police’. You do not get to decide who is ‘ruining’ “”“your”“” show. The show is not yours, the fandom is not there to play by your arbitrary rules about what it ‘should’ be.

Is the above screencap really fucking annoying? Yes.

But there is nothing wrong with me ‘twisting’ a show to suit myself. I’m not one of the writers, I can’t ‘ruin’ your show. I can do whatever the fuck I want with it.

Also, ‘twisting and perverting’? So you’re basically saying queer people like me are tarnishing your precious fucking show by shipping pairings that give us proper representation, and ‘twisting’ the show to suit those pairings? Yeah fuck you. Fuck. You.

Nobody is ‘twisting’ your show. I’m fucking allowed to have any interpretation of a show I please. That’s the beauty of fandom, and the human brain itself. My interpretation of the show and its characters are different from the next persons, and theirs are different from the next, and so on. There is nothing wrong with having a different interpretation of the show.

It isn’t my job to censor myself, or my ships, because YOU don’t like it. If you don’t like it, get tumblr savior. Stay off tumblr. Don’t follow people who post that stuff.

A person’s blog is for THEM and THEIR pleasure and enjoyment. Not. Fucking. You.
