Ok first of all a lot of women characters are written badly and I’m not going to like a female character who is doing our sex a disservice by representing us on tv.
Second not all women are good. Fuckin hell what?! A bad female character?! What?! Some female characters are bitches, some are stupid, some make bad choices and we hate them for it and guess what? That’s because there are bitches in real life, there are sluts too! What no. Yes. Fucking yes. It happens I swear to god.
Third due to reason one and two above we DON’T HAVE TO LIKE A FEMALE CHARACTER ON TV IF WE DON’T WANT TO. I don’t think we should immediately hate them because they are women but hey if they’re badly written or make choices I don’t agree with then I’ll hate them AND THAT IS MY RIGHT as a consumer, as a viewer and as a god damn human being. Differences in opinion is what makes watching tv shows interesting. It’s why they make the characters make such sweeping choices sometimes so it will devide the viewers and so we won’t agree because we’ll talk about it, discuss it, argue about it, think about it and come back next week for more.
Sally is an asshole because she discriminates against Sherlock because she doesn’t understand him and she does her job badly because she is too busy looking for ways that Sherlock is a fuck up instead of looking for ways a case could be solved (I don’t know what law enforcement does with their time on that tv show anyway but I’m not there to see them I’m there to see Sherlock).
I’m with the Lori point actually. She thought Rick was dead. She needed someone. Wouldn’t we all? The world was fucking ending. I’m with her %100.
Sansa stark – don’t know this chick
Skyler has got it tough no doubt and Walt is inexcusable. The things he has done are beyond reprehensible. But she went about shit the wrong way. She sought revenge against walt for something that he did to save the family (and I know later on this excuse becomes just a bullshit excuse). She purposely slept with ted not just to make herself feel better, which I could understand, but specifically to hurt walt when as yet all walt had done he had done not to intentionally hurt them but to save them and give her a good life after he was dead. She’s a cold-hearted bitch for that. Anything beyond that point in the storyline is up for anyone’s interpretation.
Katara – don’t know enough about her to comment
Natasha is awesome. End of. I mean she probably killed a lot of people she shouldn’t have (as per the ‘red in her ledger’ comment) but without knowing the full details we can only judge her on what we know and we know shes awesome.
Andrea just shit me up the wall but not because she’s a woman. If she was a man she would still have shit me up the wall cause she made stupid fucking bad choices. Choices that anyone could have made. Not an exclusively sexist reason for hating her.
Cersei lannister – don’t know this chick.
So you see you don’t have to be misogynistic against women to hate women characters just like you don’t have to be misandristic to hate men characters (or be a feminist but that’s a whole other can of worms I’m not gonna get into).
