Ohhh lord how do i say this. Hi my name is seraph5 and i was a peterick shipper. But people heres the thing. Shipping used to be the kind of thing everyone sort of kept within the fan base. Back when peterick was big not even that many show runners where aware of the rampant fandom going on just beyond their neatly cut episodes in TV land (not even in the real world). And then with Supernatural and Teen Wolf show runners (just as an example) having such an accepting and playful reaction to finding out about our just-outside-of-cannon-relationships i think everyone went a little crazy. Like ‘HOLY SHIT WE CAN ACTUALLY SCREAM OUR LOVE OF SHIPPERY FROM THE ROOFTOPS AND NO-ONE CARES!!! IN FACT IF WE DEMAND IT HARD ENOUGH WE MIGHT ACTUALLY SEE SOME REAL HOMOSEXUAL RELATIONSHIPS BEING SHOWN LIKE THEY SHOULD ON NORMAL TV CAUSE HEY BITCHES THEY HAPPEN AND THEIR LOVE CAN SAVE WORLDS JUST AS MUCH AS HETEROSEXUAL LOVE CAN!!!!’
But here is the thing about Peterick. Real people folks. Real straight people. Real straight people who deserve the right to say 'hey actually i don’t want to screw this really good friend of mine here cause i just don’t go in for that’. And they deserve the right for us to nod and say 'ok man that makes perfect sense. i don’t want to screw any of my best friends either but i love them to death anyways’. Let it go people. We have so many CHARACTERS in TV LAND who don’t have feelings to hurt who we can screw with to our twisted little hearts content and never hear boo from (often have the actors even have a little fun with the idea. luxury).
So yeah I guess what i’m trying to say is stop asking Patrick about Peterick. It’s rude. and annoying. And hideously embarrassing.
