But then there’s also the meta level, which would have served as perfect foreshadowing for the season finale.

The Gilliverse has a history with framing people in the passenger’s seat as not being in full control of their lives. But Lalo? He took it one step further and literally fell asleep at the wheel.

What’s more is someone on Reddit pointed out that when Nacho brings them out something to drink Lalo doesn’t wait for Nacho to drink first to make sure it’s not poisoned. He fully fully trusts Nacho at this point. Bringing him to his home should be the most obvious indicator of that but these more subtle hints are delightful.

I feel like Lalo might be the first bad guy I fully unironically root for. All other ‘evil likeable’ characters I’m like oh this character is brilliant, im having big fun, yes they should go to prison/be punished - that is good. With Lalo I’m like yes he killed innocent people, yes he’s a drug lord, yes he’s ruined myriad lives but I also don’t want him to die or go to jail or face the consequences of his actions.
