i read /this/ post by @rainydaydecaf earlier and couldn’t get it out of my head…

[a small excerpt - but please go read the full post - it’s very lovely]

C:  “ I mean, clearly the Almighty wants these children dead, what with their capacity for evil and stuff; so by saving them all, I’m actually going against the Ineffable Plan.”

A: “…You’ve clearly outwitted me this time. I must accept my defeat with grace…”

People: they’re gay right?

Neil Gaiman: Absolutely not.

People: oh :c

Neil Gaiman: They’re genderless. They’re nonbinary icons. They’re in love but they’re above our petty human concepts of gender and sex.

on-our-own-side

like………i’ve seen people be angry about him saying they aren’t gay as in,,,,two men that are romantically/sexually involved,,,,but like,,,as a nonbinary person,,,,i feel honestly kind of liberated by the concept??? like i call myself gay all the time of course but its not ever gonna be how some people use the term.i can love men and women and other nonbinary folk and i can be gay but, that will never fully encompass my sexuality. of course it wouldn’t for celestial/divine/occult beings….they may have preferred pronouns and forms,,,but they can change that at will basically,,,as we’ve seen

people who are mad, like I get it. we need that REPRESENTATION and it sometimes feels like it can be a cop out….but also,,,,,

tHEY’RE NONBINARY AND IN LOVE AND THAT’S ALL THAT MATTERS
