Where are you my beloved?’ and comes into the sitting room and Guillermo is reading and Nandor’s like 'have you seen anyone?’ and Guillermo is like 'no Lazslo and Nadja took Colin out to the park-’ and Nandor’s like 'NOT THEM someone else. The last wish I made with the Djinn was to find the love of my eternal life but I can’t find anyone! The only one here is-’

I can't for the life in me to explain how much i fucking love the fact that Guillermo is fucking deranged. I don't care that it's toxic, i don't care that he's objectively garbage. This man dedicated years of his life literally slaved himself just to become a fucking monster because he wanted to fuck Antonio Banderas as a teenager. You look at him at first and think "oh this poor thing" but NO, HE'S FUCKING CRAZY. I do think though we desperately love Guillermo, and we do so much, he is a bit more of a psycho than is often discussed. Like everyone is like poor baby being treated so bad by the vampires and I’m like for 11 years minimum he brought teenagers to be murdered and eaten on the chance that he might also get to murder and eat teens and be powerful likeee. If you ask me if he deserves Nandor I would say yes.

Ok so *puts hands together* I gotta get this off my chest so I can do any work today. I am disappointed that Nandor and Guillermo are non-sexual soulmates according to an interview with the creators (link below). The vampires are very sexual and Guillermo is a snack and Nandor is literally friends with bennies with Laszlo so…like I know I get it, some people were pulling for an ace-y/the rare deep meaningful non-sexual friendship for them but.

The breathless desperate desire Guillermo has to please and protect and be close to Nandor feels very much like romantic pining and the many times Nandor has shown an absolutely reckless capacity to throw his life away for Guillermo and be possessive of him and care about him in a way he doesn’t care about anyone else feels romantic.

It feels romantic to me in a way that could comfortably also include a sexual component. Naturally it would give the game away to say they are falling in love and I don’t need the creators to tell me that they are. But I don’t want them to tell me they aren’t and this feels very much like that is the conceit here.
