Spock: is there something I can do for you Captain?

✨Female Kirk WIPS✨ “Come on, Spock. I know that look. What is it?”
So I got this idea for a Kirk in a female body from a short story in the pulp novel Star Trek: The New Voyages 2 where Kirk and a bunch of other crew members accidentally end up swapping genders. Because it’s from the 70s and short (they wanted to make it a full length but let’s not even talk about that) it doesn’t dissect the idea in a super complex way but I got to thinking - what if he ended up stuck in that body for a longer period of time? Say a year or two? I think there are a lot of routes of exploration of that idea.
I also love Starship Troopers. This probably seems abjectly not related BUT their vision of gender equality was FASCINATING to me. The fact that all the cadets showered together and pranked each other and where equally considered for positions was a heady combo for younger me. The thought that mutual respect could run so deep that the young men and women treated each other as equals even when nude in front of each other was wild. Anyway it would be my hope, that in a star trek world and in certain circumstances things like female nudity would be treated the same as male nudity.
Anyway so that’s why I had to draw this and genuinely I’m of a mind to draw more. I think I’m like one of a handful of people that this idea sparks joy for but *shrugs* im obsessed XD
I decided to colour this old female Kirk drawing I drew a ways back. Kirk is 100% looking at Spock here.

Gene Roddenberry: Kirk and Spock boned on the regular, in hallways, in tunnels, in their quarters, in sick bay at least a few times, were two halves of one whole, and were deeply romantically in love with each other so interpret that however you like.
